Join us for our wedding weekend in Tuscany! The celebration will take place at Conti Capponi - Villa Calcinaia in Greve in Chianti surrounded by the beautiful rolling hills and vineyards of the region. Dinner will follow at renowned Antica Macelleria Cecchini.

We have pre-blocked hotel rooms for the night of 14 June for our guests right in the center of Greve in Chianti for a reasonable rate of €70-80/person ($76-88/person).

PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES

There are 3 airports we recommend flying into and various options to travel from there to Greve in Chianti:

Rome Fiumicino (FCO):

Option 1 (recommended)

Take the Leonardo express train from Rome Fiumicino (FCO) airport to Roma Termini train station (~40 min)
Take the high-speed train (see below) from Roma Termini train station to Florence Santa Maria Novella train station (~90 min)
Rent a car from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station and drive to Greve in Chianti (~60 min)

Option 2

Rent a car from Rome Fiumicino (FCO) airport and drive to Greve in Chianti (~4.5 hrs)

Milan Malpensa (MXP):

Option 1 (recommended)

Take the Malpensa express train from Milan Malpensa (MXP) airport to Milan Centrale train station (~60 min)
Take a high-speed train (see below) from Milano Centrale train station to Florence Santa Maria Novella train station (~120 min)
Rent a car from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station and drive to Greve in Chianti (~60 min)

Option 2

Rent a car from Milan Malpensa (MXP) airport and drive to Greve in Chianti (~7 hrs)

Florence (FLR):

Rent a car from Florence (FLR) airport and drive to Greve in Chianti (~60 min)
Note: It is often more expensive to fly into Florence (FLR) airport

TRENITALIA & ITALO
HIGH-SPEED TRAINS

When traveling from city-to-city, high-speed trains are the best option from either Trenitalia or Italo. If booked well-enough in advance, it is also the most economical mode of transport to see the most of Italy with ease.

AUTO RENTAL

When/if renting a car in Italy, always rent from reputable, internationally recognized companies only.

These include: Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Alamo, etc.

Avoid smaller, local services such as Firefly, Maggiore, Goldcar and Locauto.

DAY-OF TRANSPORT

To ensure the convenience and safety of our guests without hindering their bacchanalian desires, we have arranged for a charter bus to transport guests from the center of Greve in Chianti to the ceremony & dinner locations and back to the center. Exact pick-up location TBD and will be updated.

If you so choose to arrange your own transport, please have a designated driver and do not drink and drive.

Note: Public transport is scarce and taxis are limited in/around the Chianti region.

Albergo del Chianti offers a cozy, family-run retreat in the heart of Greve in Chianti, combining traditional Tuscan charm with modern comfort. This is the first accommodation option for our guests if they choose to stay at a pre-reserved room for the night of 14 June 2025. Both options offer reasonable rates for approximately €70-80/person ($76-88/person).

SUITE GREVE IN CHIANTI

Suite Greve in Chianti is conveniently located next door to Albergo del Chianti in the city center of Greve in Chianti. This is an additional option for guests to stay on the night of 14 June as we have pre-reserved rooms. Both options offer reasonable rates for approximately €100-120/person ($103-123/person).
